Umar bin Khattab is one of those guaranteed entry into Paradise by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). “Abu Bakr is in Paradise, ‘Umar is in Paradise, ‘Uthman is in Paradise, ‘Ali is in Paradise, Talhah is in Paradise, Az-Zubair is in Paradise, ‘Abdurrahman bin ‘Auf is in Paradise, Sa’ad (bin Abi Waqqash) is in Paradise, Sa’id (bin Zaid) is in Paradise, and Abu ‘Ubaidah bin Al-Jarrah is in Paradise.” (Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi, no. 3747, and Ahmad, 1:193. Al-Hafiz Abu Tahir stated that the chain of narration for this hadith is authentic). How is this possible? What were his special qualities?
